I am applying for nursing grad school, I did not earn a registered nurse license, but a degree in biology instead, so through this program I will be able to become a licensed RN and pursue my ultimate goal of becoming a nurse practitioner. I have a strong background in biology, physiology, and I love healthcare so I think becoming a nurse could enable me to use what I have and apply it to the real world. I also volunteering at a pharmacy, so seeing patients walking out of the store with a smile on their face, knowing that their complications could be treated encourage me to pursue this profession. “The 2016 Macy Conference, ‘Preparing Registered Nurses for Enhanced Roles in Primary Care’, continued to build on this theme and identified three focus areas concerning the evolving role of nurses: training nurses to take on primary care roles, preparing nurses for leadership roles and looking at the intersection of healthcare reform and healthcare education reform to achieve the common goal of enhancing the public healthcare system.” “In addition to the MSN program objectives, the ME-MSN primary care focus seeks to provide students exposure to primary care practice to develop the students’ knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for the expanded nursing role in primary care. This focus provides a blended training in the primary care and acute care setting so students achieve competencies to work in both environments.” These are what I copy from their website, I think it maybe helpful for you. The format should be two pages, double spaced with 10-12 font size.
