You must submit two separate copies (one Word file and one PDF file) using the Assignment Template on
Blackboard via the allocated folder. These files must not be in compressed format.
It is your responsibility to check and make sure that you have uploaded both the correct files.
Zero mark will be given if you try to bypass the SafeAssign (e.g. misspell words, remove spaces between
words, hide characters, use different character sets, convert text into image or languages other than English
or any kind of manipulation).
Email submission will not be accepted.
You are advised to make your work clear and well-presented. This includes filling your information on the cover
page.
You must use this template, failing which will result in zero mark.
You MUST show all your work, and text must not be converted into an image, unless specified otherwise by
the question.
Late submission will result in ZERO mark.
The work should be your own, copying from students or other resources will result in ZERO mark.

The work on this project must be performed by a group (minimum 3 and
maximum 4 students).
•
Each group leader must send an email with the team member’s
details (name & id) on 27/02/2022 (midnight).
•
Note each group needs to be approved by your instructor.
•
The work should be your own; copying from students or other
resources will result in ZERO marks.
•
This project is worth 15 marks and will be distributed as in the following:
1. Part 1 – Implementation Part (10 marks)
2. Part 2 – Presentation part (5 marks)

Project Overview:
In this project, you need to build a website based on your chosen idea. The
Website must cover all aspects of the course (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP,
DB) as follows:

Design (using CSS) Website demonstrates

Important Notes:
•
The number of Web pages within the Website must be at least 5 web
pages.
•
The number of dynamic Web pages (using JavaScript) must be at least
2. For form validation, there must be at least one popup message that
appears after the submit button has been clicked. The message must
contain a list of all validation errors on the Web page.
•
The Website must connect to a database (1 Select + 1 Insert + 1 Update
queries)
•
The project needs to be submitted in BB (as an assignment) by the
Leader of the group members. Your project must be original work. The
project will be checked using a plagiarism tool. Any matching with an
online project or another/previous student project will be given ZERO.
Each student/group has to prepare
1. IT230_Project.docx:
a. The student must use the same file (IT230_Project.docx) to
prepare group answers.
b. For the HTML part, the student must copy and paste, for each web
page, his/her HTML script and add a screenshot of the output with
a brief explication.
c. For the CSS part, the student must copy and paste his/her CSS
code and add a screenshot of the styled web pages.
d. For the JS part, the student must copy and paste, his/her JS code
and add a screenshot of the output with a brief explication.

e. For the SQL part, the student must copy and paste the SQL code
used to create and populate the database and add a screenshot of
the different tables of the created database in MYSQL.
f. For the part PHP +DB, the student must copy and paste the PHP
code and add screenshots of the output with a brief explication of
each functionality of the web application.
For the insertion and the update of the records, the student must
also add screenshots of the modified tables before and after the
execution of the PHP code.
g. For the presentation part, list team members, assign roles,
responsibilities, and tasks to team members.
Note: An oral discussion will be conducted with all the students
after the upload of the project on Blackboard.
h. Prepare a PDF version of this file.
